How many times have you tried harder? Did it yield the desired outcome? Always? Sometimes? Rarely? Trying harder is your natural response when skills, strategies, or situations are not working as you want or expect. Other people, wanting to help, may tell you to increase your intensity, give more effort, or try harder and it will get better. All of these imply that you need to do more; you just need to try harder to get success. Unfortunately, that is the opposite of what you need to do.
Trying harder increases your stress responses, raises your anxiety, and hurries your mind. You get caught up in the emotions, especially fear and anger, as you become distracted by what isn’t working. As a result, you make more errors, focus on what won’t work and raise…
Take it intellectually… metaphorically… spiritually…
Watch, listen and be truthful.

Judas, when you ask the right questions from the wrong one:
Read the Qur’aan:
“{And because of their saying: “We killed the Messiah, ‘Isa the son of Maryam, the Messenger of Allah.” But they killed him not, nor did they crucify him, but it was made to appear to them so, and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no knowledge; they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely, they killed him not.}” [Qur’aan 4: 157]

“O People of the Book (Jews and Christians): Come to a word (in good terms) that is Just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah (God) (alone), and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah (God). Then, if they turn away, say “(O People of the Book) bear witness that we are Muslims.” [Qur’aan3:64]

ISLAM CURES RACISM – Paradise for Paradise Island!
So, why oh why, did Allah reveal this glorious Qur’an to such a … (nose wrinkled in genuine dismay) … barbaric people – the Arabs?
Answer: When the decedents of Prophet Ishaaq [Isaac] alaihissallaam (AS), failed to honour their covenant with Allah, Allah gave the task over to their lowly brethren – the people of Prophet Ishmaeel [Ismail] (AS).
It was a tight slap in the face – pat-taas!
Although the most barbaric people on the face of the earth, they were also the most capable folk to be entrusted with protecting the Speech of Allah (Qur’aan) – literally with their lives. So that goody-two-shoes types like you and me, could have access to the Noble Qur’aan – 1,400 years later – across the shores and far away in another land – in the comfort of our modern homes.
Yet another significance, in the glorious Qur’aan being revealed to the worst of people, is that in that alone is a sign – for those who think, ponder and reflect. If the Qur’aan can raise the ‘worst’ to the ‘best,’ then it IS the solution for you and me.
Covenant Between Friends
The slaughter of the Arabs is a done deal: Ibraheem [Abraham] (AS) – ‘the friend of God (Kaleelullah) – made this covenant with Allah donkeys’ ears ago – when he agreed to sacrifice his eldest son, Ishmaeel (AS).
The Prophet, sallallaahu alaihi wassallaam (SAW), was explicit – once the sword was raised against the Arabs, it would not be put down.
What irony – the Arabs are dying today in fulfilment of a covenant with their Lord – to run the race and deliver the Qur’aan to the rest of the world – the very people who are killing them… so that they may receive guidance and restore balance to the world.
May Allah show mercy to the Arabs and Moors and reward them for their spectacular role and bless and raise the family of Ibraheem (AS) and Muhammad (SAW) to the promised ranks. And may revert Muslims fulfil their role – in taking the baton from them and sprinting the last lap to breast the tape and establish Islam (peace) on earth once again. Ameen.
In fulfilment of the covenant, it WILL be the progeny of Ibraheem (AS) – from BOTH his sons, Ishmaeel and Ishaaq (AS) who will restore balance to the world – Jesus [Isa] (AS) as king and Muhammad, the guide [Mahdi] (AS) as Imam.
Understanding the Speech of Allah
Those who suffer from manic bipolar activity and take the Qur’aan 100% literally and those who swing to the other extreme and take it 100% metaphorically, are both offside – gona kanuway (bull in the drain).
Take the Middle Path and the broader view – perceive the metaphor in the literal and the literal in the metaphor… The various grey tones between black and white… It requires reading and meditating, reading and meditating… remember; read The Opening – Al Fatiha – for indeed, Allah says it opens up the passageway through the seven samavat (seven stratospheres) straight up to Allah’s Footstool [Arsh]…
As the last and final Revelation from Allah, Allah addresses Mankind and Jinn in one message for all. It embraces ALL the Prophets and Messengers and Revealed Scriptures (known and unknown) that came before it. It is the answer to unification and the cure to racism. Indeed, it is a merciful healing from the One God, besides Whom, none has the right to be worshipped.
Don’t take my word for it. Listen to what Allah has to say to you first, before going on a trip about what ‘they say’ ‘you say’ and ‘I say.’

The End Times (Akhirus Zamaan) is the era of the battle between energies.
I anticipate the prophesied one-third of the army that proceeds to free the world from the clutches of tyranny will comprise those who migrate from the four corners of the earth – having mastered their respective disciplines and reached enlightenment. They will unite at the appointed location and when they set out to take the physical and spiritual battle to the Negative energy on earth, not a land in their path will be left oppressed. They will be ‘balanced’ people who’ve seen the light and will therefore be guided and energised by the light.

Height and width…?

Hair colour, texture and length – short vs. long, curly vs. straight and blonde vs. brunette…?
Dumb blondes indeed!
All of this boils down to something very simple:
Truth Vs Falsehood – Sanity Vs Insanity!
Both, the Buddha and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) clearly spoke about (an elusive) ‘MIDDLE PATH of MODERATION – the ONLY path that leads to enlightenment and Nirvana – Paradise [Jannah].
If you delve into Hindu, Christian and Judaic texts, you will find this elusive path mentioned there too. Indeed, you will find that it has echoed throughout the history of mankind in every corner of the world, throughout every age, in EVERY culture, tribe and people…
The point is recognising it when you see it.
Moderation is about Balance
It’s about consciously controlling extremism – BAD – manic bipolar activity in the mind – in one’s thought, speech, behaviour – way of life…
You can’t pop tablets and cure this madness. All you will achieve is dulling the senses and the mind.
You HAVE to gain mind over matter control. It’s about learning self control. Period.
Yes, that’s the tool to employ. Meditate: think, ponder, reflect…
Stop this blind following of other people’s opinions.
Think for YOURSELF, damn it! – Do your own homework!
Use the instruction manuals [Revealed Scriptures] provided by Allah (God) and take your examples from the men [Prophets and Messengers of Allah (God)] who demonstrated [Sunnah] how to apply it.
Extremism is Still Extremism
O Vegetarian, Vegan and those living on Mana (Prana),
I am an omnivore, with the capacity to fit into any of the above categories, should necessity require it. I have chosen to eat a BALANCED diet – not a manic diet based on EXTREMISM. I have chosen to obey Allah and eat the foods available to me from the vicinity that I live in and according to the circumstances I find myself in.
Allah has made it permissible (HALAAL) for me (and all Muslims, depending on the situation) to consume even carrion, alcohol and pork, if necessary.
That’s how flexible, meaningful, moderate and exquisitely beautiful ISLAM is. And why not? ISLAM means PEACE.
Deal with it.
Get over it.
Beat a retreat – move on!
I am content with Allah (the Creator) and His deen (prescribed way of life for creation).

I’m alright, thank you, I happen to indulge in that rare practise of thinking, reflecting and pondering – yes, I MEDITATE.
I will not change because someone bombards me with another person’s thoughts, or because it’s the latest hip-and-happening fad.
I will change, if necessary, ONLY if, it makes sense to me – after, of course, indulging in that singularly uncommon practice of thinking for myself.
I appreciate your concern for me, but seriously, pull the log out of your own eye before trying to pull the speck out of mine.
THINK, damn it – before sanctimoniously advocating a fad or notion! Get over this superiority-inferiority complex. What will the Inuit and the desert dwellers eat if vegetarianism and veganism are, as some of you broadcast, the way to go? And what will YOU do, should you find yourself in circumstances where the only food available is MEAT?
Consumption of meat is NOT HARAAM (forbidden) per se anywhere in Hinduism and Buddhism.

I never left Christianity. Nor did I abandon you. I just expanded my consciousness when I embraced Islam. This effectively made me embrace Judaism and Christianity and all the Abrahamic faiths, and all the Messengers and Prophets of (God) Allah. It happens to be a requirement of the Six Pillars of Faith – Rukn al Iman (http://www.missionislam.com/knowledge/sixpillarsiman.htm ) of a Muslim (one who voluntarily submits to the will of Allah without rancour).

I love the Gautama Buddha and his teachings and I endeavour to follow him as best I can. He too is mentioned in Islamic scripture. I have employed the tools of the Buddha’s philosophy to get to the font of truth and falsehood in my mind – and to understand Islam and the times we live in.
Indeed, I embraced Buddhism too.
I have drawn assistance and moulded myself from other philosophies too – too many to mention, but I cannot leave out Bruce Lee, so I say ‘Os’ to my Senseis; Nanda Siriwardene (Masutatsu Oyama Kyokushin-Kai) included. I am beltless, but that’s not the point. When credit is due, it must be given.
To all Jewish, Hindu and ‘other’ religious friends, who believe in The Creator, I greet you:

I did not find anything to employ from Judaism, Hinduism or any ‘other’ religion, although I have perceived the clear thread of truth running through them.
In my humble view, the Buddha did an excellent job fixing Hinduism. Four-hundred thousand or so deities were reduced to ‘no deity’ needed to correct your life.
Way to go Siddhartha, O’ Gautama Buddha, is all I will say.
